Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selçuk SAĞIR was born in 1983 in Palu district of Elaziğ. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Kovancılar. In 2001, he started his undergraduate education at Fırat University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics and graduated in 2005. He completed his master's degree in Physics Department of the Institute of Science and Technology of the same university in 2008. In 2009, he started to work as a research assistant at Muş Alparslan University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics. In 2013, he completed his doctorate in Fırat University Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Physics, High Energy and Plasma Physics. In 2013, he received the title of Assistant Professor and in 2018 he received the title of Associate Professor. Nearly 100 national and international scientific studies have been cited more than 300 times. He has worked as an Executive and Researcher in projects within the scope of international cooperation. Prof. Dr. Sağır has held many administrative positions such as Head of Department, Head of Department, Vice Director of Vocational School, Vocational School Board Member, Vocational School Board Member, Vice Dean, Senate Member. He is currently serving as the Director of the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences and speaks English at intermediate level. Dr. Sağır is married and has three children.
